COACH MEETS COACH

Idea: In contrast to the usual seminars for coaches this one is to be based on a new idea and to offer coaches attending a major handball event not only some fundamental education and training but also information on aspects of the new media and, most importantly, a forum for communication with fellow-participants. This seminar for coaches is therefore to be conducted under the motto „Coach meets Coach".
Education and
Training for
Coaches:
The coaches involved in the 1998 Ech/ITA have been appointed as lecturers for the seminar. While they are basically free to select their own topics they should perhaps still consider dealing with the „1998 Ech" or the new handball rules as the guiding themes. Lectures should be short for being presented in a room holding an audience of about 300.
Coach-to-Coach Dialogue: Experience has shown that a key factor in seminars for coaches has always been the exchange of experiences among coaches. This is now to be proposed as the main topic, to be implemented in discussion groups conducted in different languages.
New Media: Today, there is simply no way round modern communication procedures and hightech multimedia applications. The topic to be discussed here is what is available in handball. This part is to be presented in a setting in which each participant will not only be able to see and hear the subjects presented – Internet, statistics, database, and Tactic Tool (Handball board for Coaches) – but can learn more about them and use them on the spot.

The EHF presents their new line to European Championships and new ways to contact a broader handball public (EHFan Membership). Beyond that the EHF partners present their products at company stands (adidas / ball supplier, Sport Court / floor supplier).

EM Matches: Finally attention should be drawn to a special „goody" being included in the offer, i.e. visits to the top matches (semi-finals and finals) of the 1998 Ech/ITA.
Target Group: National Coaches and club coaches.
