Lino Cervar (coach Italy) comments:
"It is not a bad defeat , the result is only relative. The german team has more experience and they deserved their victory. It is true, Niederwieser (the standard goalkeeper) had problems, because playing at home he wanted to give his best. I had to exchange him. We still have problems with two key players, Massotti, who hasn`t played yet and Kobilica who has problems with his back; Guerrazzi played well in the last fifteen minutes."
Heiner Brand (coach Germany) comments:
"Yesterday I was disappointed, today I am happy; but we still have to win three more matches before we reach the semifinals. My players played better with the 6-0 defence formation, whereas with the man-to-man marking we had a few difficulties, particularly with Tarafino. I don`t want to give too much importance to this victory; we have to stay with our feet on the ground and improve even more for the semifinals."
