All six teams in group B have to face some minor problems because injuries
occur frequently during tournaments. The doctor of the Russian team for
instance, said prior to today’s matches: I’m certainly not out of work, but
fortunately nobody was injured seriously." Other teams such as Hungary,
Croatia, Macedonia and Spain are facing similar difficulities. The Czech coach
will have to do without Vladimir Suma, who sprained his hand in the match
against Russia. The Hungarian star Jozsef Eles is still not in the best shape.
The next few days will show whether he will be able to take part in this
European Championship at all.
