Valdemaras Novickis (Lithuania coach):
"Today we have played against a great team. For my young players it has been very difficult to play against them. Nevertheeless, in Lithuania, handball is improving a lot and in a very short time it will be at the same level of the best team of the world. Once again I have to complain about the referees, they have misunderstood the rule of the passive game.
Bengt Johansson (Sweden coach):
I am pleased about the result of the game, and, in particular, about the performance of Petterson and of the goalkeeper Gentzel, they plaed very well. In the first seconds of the game we had some problems with the man-to-man game of Lithuania, but I think that Lithuania is a great team and we will admirate her during the second part of this championship. Magnus Andersson, even with bach problems, will play in the next games.
