On Tuesday, rest-day, the representatives of the press were offered a rich
programme. Numerous journalists made use of the day and went to see the cyclists
at the "Giro d’ Italia" which made stage in Selva, Val Gardena. Other
journalists accepted the invitation of the organising committee and visited the
museum of the Ötzi, the "man from the ice". Afterwards, wine
tasting of South Tyrolean wines was offered at the wine-cellar Gries in Bolzano.
In the afternoon, the journalists played the part of those they usually report
about. At a press handball match the press could test the new surface at the
Palaonda in Bolzano.
