"At the beginning we were very nervous. The game was very important for us , as we didn’t want to come last. As the match continued, our defence improved and and our better physical condition started to show. I am pleased because this team is still very young and has still lots of time to improve. In future competitions, with more experience, we will be able to play better even against the best."

"This was probably the worst match in Macedonia’s handball history. In the first twenty minutes we played reasonably well, but then we fell to pieces, which can only partly be explained through the absence of Manaskov. Our attack was a disaster and we have confermed the statistics who placed us in last position. Let’s hope to improve for the match against Italy."
